Skatebird manual
Pardon my ignorance, but what's the game's aim exactly?. We're all kind of operating in the same space, nailing different vibes. You could also try Wave Break, if you want faster speed and also guns and stuff.

If you want full-on arcade high speeds stuff, then you probably just want the THPS 1&2 HD remake - it's pretty great. Still, if you think it isn't fast enough, all I can say is maybe try one of the other skate games out there, see if that's more your speed? Skater XL is pretty good if you want harder gravity/sim feel precision, and Session's in kind of the nebulous space between that and EA Skate. Originally posted by megalomanium:That's what we've got ) I was hoping to have fun with birds doing swift, crazy moves on their skateboards I even got a playlist ready for this, considering the game will allow us to play own own tracks while playing. Changing big things like top speed or height now would likely break the content we've already made. Kind of a Mario Jump Height situation, if that makes sense. Or how you tend to catch the edge of verts in a weird way when going over hips or rolling into ramps from the top, might add a quick-tap shorter ollie, or that obnoxious camera snap back and forth when starting from a stop sometimes, etc, edge case or smaller stuff like that. I feel like steering sensitivity/curve when holding up to push is still a bit off, probably gonna keep poking at that for months. There's a lot left to tweak, but the broad strokes are mostly how they're going to be. We're not THPS in that regard, trying to be a bit more chill. These games all have in common, a complex control system that can be put to use in imaginative and creative ways to get the edge over your opponents.Originally posted by megalomanium:How the game controls now, at least in terms of speed and height, is pretty much how it'll be at launch. Or it could be learning the complex move lists in a game like Street Fighter. Maybe it’s learning the perfect combination of angles and trajectories in Videoball. Or, perhaps, it’s using the limited running and jumping slightly better than other players to get a win in Fall Guys. This might be understanding how the propulsion of your car lets you take to the air and hit a perfect shot in Rocket League. Whether you rise through the league tables, or just improve compared to your family, the satisfaction or getting to grips with something so monumentally challenging is really satisfying.

Rather than offering assistance, these games leave you to it. Rather than relying on the stats of your character or player, you have to execute the moves yourself with timing proficiency and instinct. Whereas many games simplify getting around, these games make the complexity and depth of their movement systems part of the joy of playing them. There are a small group of games that hone this challenge down to the mechanics of moving around the environment. It takes time to understand their systems, mechanics, objectives and worlds. When someone plays a game too much it’s easy to think they are taking an easy route to something entertaining, like junk food. Games offer us challenges on many levels. Extreme racing games can also generate endorphins as you narrowly escape a catastrophic crash, or if you take on a super long challenge like Le Mans 24 Hours. Horror games can do this for some, offering the stress of fear and jump-scares before the euphoria of escape and mastery of both the situation and our fears. Also, games that let us feel the exhilaration of creating something beautiful or being part of that creative process help generate endorphins. Video games that make us laugh or cry do this. Games that help create endorphins are those that let us experience excess emotions. They are also needed to help with sleep, particularly when there is anxiety or worries on our minds.Īlong with getting outside for exercise, eating well and nurturing conversations, video games can also help. We also need endorphins when we want to push ourselves beyond our discomfort in chosen activities.

Without endorphins we can struggle to cope with pain and stress. Serotonin for significance and importance.
